Susan Santos-Stevens Marks Major Milestone Becoming an IRS Enrolled Agent

Santos Associates Accountants is proud to announce that Susan Santos-Stevens recently reached a personal and professional milestone by studying for and passing the intensive three-part Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Enrolled Agent exam, which covers all aspects of federal taxation. Enrolled Agents are empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

“I’m excited about the accomplishment of becoming an Enrolled Agent and look forward to this designation contributing to the continued success of our family business,” said Santos-Stevens, who is also a Registered Tax Return Preparer with the IRS.

The highest credential the IRS awards, the Enrolled Agent designation recognizes demonstrated knowledge and assures clients that the agent is up-to-date on the latest tax law changes. Enrolled Agents, like tax attorneys and CPAs, have unlimited practice rights representing clients for tax issues including audits, collections, and appeals before the examination division of the IRS.

In 1990, Santos-Stevens received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She also holds a professional membership with the National Association of Enrolled Agents, America’s Tax Experts®. Santos-Stevens prepares corporate, estate and individual income tax returns, in addition to performing accounting and incorporation services. Her mentor and father, Edward J. Santos, is also an Enrolled Agent and Certified Financial Planner.
