Online banner advertising is still one of the web's most effective forms of impression-based advertising. Internet banner advertising is a form of advertising that exposes your banner graphic in a prominent location on relevant websites.

Channel Targeting and Placement

A channel is a grouping of ad placements on websites or sections of websites with related content. For example, the "Travel" channel contains numerous ad placements on web pages with articles, text and content related to travel. If channel targeting is selected, people visiting those web pages may see your ad.

Currently we offer the following channels: Ad Networks & Exchanges, Auto, Directories & Reference, Entertainment, Finance, Gaming, Health, Men's Interest, MySpace, News, Portals, Real Estate, Shopping, Social Media, Sports, Technology, Travel and Women's Interest.

A placement is a group of ad locations within a single web page, section of a website or a single website. A channel is a group of ad placements on web pages or websites with similar content. We will automatically track the performance of your ad by placement, helping you to understand which placements are performing well.

Targeting Banner Ads

Two options to target ads.

  1. Audience targeting allows you to target people based on their gender, age, education level, relationship status, parental status, geography, interest and occupation. If you select Audience Targeting, your ad will appear to users who meet the selected criteria.
  2. Channel targeting allows you to target content. Your ads will be displayed on groups of placements or websites with similar content. If you select Channel Targeting, your ad will only appear on websites, sections or pages within the 'Channel' that you chose.

Banner ads are a multi billion dollar market that offer the best results in the online branding of your business.

The real value of banners, then, is the turbo-charging effect they have on people's subsequent search behaviors. Searches for a brand or trademark were 52 percent higher among people exposed to a banner campaign than in a control group. Even four weeks out, the lift was still 38 percent.
