Star Massing
Star understands that great neighborhoods make great homes and sees her civic involvement as another dimension of her work as a Realtor.
Like the countless stars in the sky, every real estate experience is different and deserves one-of-a-kind service. True to her moniker, Star Massing offers a winning combination of marketing savvy, sales acumen, and close personal attention—plus a penchant for thinking outside the box.
Hard working, dedicated, and prepared to exceed your expectations of a real estate agent, Star works with a wide range of buyers, sellers and developers.
In 2014, PaperCity Magazine touted her as “the realtor to the art, architecture and design communities.” And, while Star has spent her life in the company of major collectors, dealers, and artists, her clients extend beyond the art community. As multi-year top producer 2014 through 2017, she has worked together with buyers and sellers in neighborhoods all over Houston. With over 18 years of experience in advertising and marketing, Star will get your home or project noticed. She has effectively promoted her clients in PaperCity, CultureMap, Swamplot, Channel 39 and the Houston Chronicle.
When she’s not working with clients, Star invests in her community through volunteerism and leadership. Star actively works to elevate the arts in Houston alongside her husband, Jack Massing, one half of the famed art-duo The Art Guys. Committed to the principles of sustainability and personal responsibility, Star is President of the board of the Blackwood Educational Land Institute and has chaired three of their annual galas.

I was born in Houston and grew up in Friendswood. I received my B.S. in electrical engineering from Texas A&M. I am a broker associate, Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Accredited Staging Professional (ASP), Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI) and Social Media Pro (SMP). A resident of the Houston Heights, I have two wonderful sons.
I truly love what I do. I had never been at a job where after a year I was not incredibly bored and looking for a new challenge – until I entered residential real estate! If you want to be really good, you must keep up with the market changes, legal updates, buyers, sellers, showings, negotiations and still smile along the way – even though it can be tough. I find the challenge of making this happen very stimulating and I strive each and every day to do a better job than the day before.
