Flagstaff Realtor David Price, of Jackson Associates, hosts a donation drive to benefit local schools in case of emergency.
Jackson Associates Realtor David Price is hosting a donation drive for the Flagstaff Unified School District. Price will be collecting items to be used in case of an emergency. Donated items can be dropped off at 1120 W University Ave., Suite 100, Flagstaff, AZ 86001.
“Education is the foundation for our future and making sure our kids are safe in our schools when they are filling those brains is a priority for me,” said Price, a local Realtor. “Since I have two little girls in school myself, I want those teachers to have what they need to protect our kids.”
Price will be putting buckets together with survival necessities inside for each classroom. The dollar amount needed is $25 a bucket. Items needed include leather adult-size work gloves, water bottles, space blankets, 8x10 tarps and twine, mag lights with AA batteries (or any flashlight), heavy-duty black garbage bags, pieces of candy like Jolly Ranchers, decks of cards, hand sanitizers and small bags of kitty litter.
“The PTA did this drive for Sinagua Middle School and the turnout was great. We thought this was such a great idea and took the ball and ran with it,” concluded Price. “I am part of the community outreach through the Northern Arizona Association of Realtors and this was brought up at a meeting and they announced that they needed someone to take the lead and I decided to take it on. The whole community is working together to help these local schools.”
