Attorney Carlos Sandoval Publishes New Guide Providing Information for Undocumented Immigrants

If you are one of the more than 11 million undocumented immigrants who live illegaly in the United States a new guide from immigration attorney Carlos Sandoval can help answer your questions about deportation.

As an immigration attorney and founder of the law office that shares his name, Sandoval has worked with hundreds of undocumented immigrants as they make their way through the legal process. Based on this experience, Sandoval published a guide for undocumented immigrants living in the United States who are seeking information about their rights.

Recently published and available for free on Sandoval’s website, www.carlosesandoval.com, the guide is titled “Are You A Dreamer Living in Fear of Deportation? Information That May Be Useful for Immigrants in Danger of Being Deported.” The comprehensive manual walks individuals through the process of assessing their status as an illegal immigrant and anticipating their next steps.

The guide also covers how to assess if you are in danger of being deported; basic information about possible relief from deportation; the process for appealing immigration decisions; and important information on how to strengthen your case. The guide is available in both English and Spanish.

Sandoval was inspired to write the guide after hearing the same handful of questions from his clients. “Offering a free, online resource with answers to frequently asked questions about the immigration process is a much-needed resource for the community,” said Sandoval. “Many people facing deportation are scared and don’t know where to turn. I wanted to provide a free resource to give answers to the most popular questions I hear. It doesn’t substitute for professional guidance from an immigration lawyer, but it will help them to know where to start in the process.”

Sandoval is himself an immigrant, originally hailing from Colombia. In 1996 he immigrated to the United States, and after serving in the United States Navy and attending the University of Florida Levin College of Law, he settled in Miami and began his career in the legal field.
