Center for Surrogate Parenting Offers Increase in Referral Fee

The month of March was Surrogacy Awareness Month, a time to honor surrogates who help create new families. In light of this special month, and to help intended parents realize their dream of parenting sooner, the Center for Surrogate Parenting, Inc. has raised its referral fee for people who refer surrogates to them.

“We also find ourselves in the unique position of now having more intended parents than we have surrogate mothers,” said Karen Synesiou, CEO of Center for Surrogate Parenting (CSP). “We are making all efforts we can to reduce the wait time for an intended parent to be matched with a surrogate mother.”

Anyone who has a friend that is interested in becoming a surrogate mother is encouraged to refer her to CSP. Once matched with one of CSP’s intended parents and after signing a contract, CSP will thank them by offering an increased referral fee as follows:

• $1,000 referral fee for a surrogate mother who resides in Maryland, California, and Nevada.
• $500 referral fee for a surrogate mother who resides in Texas, Colorado, Minnesota, Ohio, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Illinois.
• $300 referral fee for all other states CSP accepts surrogate mothers.

However, restrictions do apply. The referral fee is paid when the surrogate mother one refers to CSP is matched with intended parents, signs a contract, and once legal clearance is issued for the parties. The offer is valid until December 31, 2018.

“Once a surrogate mother applies to CSP, her application date is automatically recorded by our system. So long as the application date is before December 31, 2018, the referral fee will be paid once she signs contracts,” concluded Synesiou. “Therefore, if she signs contracts after December 31, 2018, the referral fee is still due to you so long as her application is received by CSP before December 31, 2018.”
