No. 1: Motivated buyers. “Buyers are absolutely in the market in these months looking for a home,” stressed Bryant. “They are also pre-approved, educated on the market and can make quick decisions. They have a goal in mind.”

No. 2: Homes decorated for the holidays sell. “A holiday house feels like more of a home for those touring your house, so it’s important to decorate,” noted Bryant. “However, refrain from overdecorating and making your home cluttered.”

No. 3: Control over the showing schedule. Selling in the fall or winter means more control of the house-showing schedule. “There are fewer showings as a result of a smaller buyer pool and you can be comfortable knowing that showings don’t need to interfere as much with your day-to-day life,” added Bryant.

No. 4: Bringing in the buyers. Professional photographs, staging, details on the property, plus a compelling property profile help create effective marketing materials. “It is also important to have the home listed professionally, as well as advertisements in online publications and home search databases that home buyers use to shop for houses along with internet and social media to promote your listing,” concluded Bryant.
