Hoover Krepelka, LLP Clothing Families in Transition Due to Domestic Violence

Hoover Krepelka, LLP will be collecting donated new, warm clothing items for women and children from November 4 to December 13. There will be a bin for donated clothing located on the ground floor of the firm’s office building at 1520 The Alameda, San Jose, CA, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hoover Krepelka has partnered with Next Door Solutions in various capacities over the past five years and this is the first year the firm will host a clothing drive.    

Next Door Solutions (NDS) is the only stand-alone domestic violence agency in Santa Clara County, answering approximately 15,000 crisis calls and serving an average of 3,000 survivors of domestic violence annually. One of the missions of NDS is to provide brand new clothing to families in transition due to domestic violence. When victims of domestic violence stay or return to violent relationships, it is because the situation is complex. Many have been out of the workforce and are financially dependent on their abusers. NDS works year-round to develop job readiness, financial management and education for Santa Clara families who have been affected by domestic violence.
