Horizon Elder Law & Estate Planning Welcomes Attorney Jerald Marrs to its Team

Horizon Elder Law & Estate Planning recently hired attorney Jerald Marrs to help the firm with mediation in handling family disputes, elder law issues and estate planning. “We chose Jerry because of his passion to help people, his gentle demeanor and his positive energy,” said Client Services Director Stephanie McNaughton, of Horizon Elder Law & Estate Planning.

Marrs, a longtime San Ramon resident, is committed to helping seniors, individuals, couples and families through the trying times associated with the aging process and the preparation and administration of estate plans. He also helps protect seniors regarding elder law issues and estate planning, including asset protection, government long-term care benefits, conservatorships, probate and veteran’s benefits.

Having completed lengthy mediation training, including dispute resolution at the University of Colorado School of Law and 50 hours with the Center for Community Dispute Settlement, Marrs mediates disputes regarding elder law, care decisions, asset distribution, probate matters and trust administration. He has a background dealing with emotionally charged issues, and has resolved numerous issues for his clients.
