Houston Realtor Violet Gonzalez Pledges Donations to Houston’s Susan G. Komen for Breast Cancer Awareness

Houston Realtor® Violet Gonzalez will donate a portion of commissions to Susan G. Komen Houston.

HOUSTON, TX

Violet Gonzalez,Century 21 Olympian Realtor®, is pledging support for breast cancer research. “I will donate a portion of each new listing, closing or home that goes under contract in the month of November,” Gonzalez said.

Donations will go to the Susan G. Komen - Houston. Komen Houston funds free mammograms and clinical breast exams for uninsured and underserved patients. The organization also funds support groups for breast cancer survivors and even free transportation to patients receiving breast cancer treatment.

“I have been moved by those people in my life and community who’ve survived or been affected by cancer,” Gonzalez said. “I care about people. I’m not just here to facilitate buying or selling a home. It’s my passion to help people improve the quality of their lives and I want to give back to those who have touched and inspired me. I’m here to make a difference in the lives of people who live here, where I live and work. What better way than to support such an important organization as Komen Houston.”

According to their Website, “Susan G. Komen® Houston seeks to educate our community about breast cancer and breast health awareness through our Education Outreach Programs.” The organization offers presentations and exhibits, conducted by Komen’s Education Committee volunteers, about breast health and screening. Presentations are free, but they do accept donations.
