Las Vegas Property Manager/Realtor Calia Mynuk Raises Awareness for School Sports

“I chose to support the Bonanza High Bengals sport teams as I believe sports and outdoor activities need to be promoted and publicized more,” said Mynuk, of Reiss Properties, who has supported the teams for the past three years. “Young people need to be more encouraged to get involved in outdoor activities, as social media and current technology, which is a strong part of our children’s world, can be difficult to break away from.”

Mynuk believes that if more people backed their community, communities would be stronger and more stable. “People respond positively to encouragement and a sense of being helpful to the people around them,” Mynuk added. “When you frequent or believe in a business or program it begins a natural network of connections that can be beneficial to everyone.”

Furthermore, being aware of the issues in one’s community helps the citizen to understand the progress or battles in their own business. Getting involved, no matter how much or how little, helps everyone. “Strong connections and bonds equals communication, and that is the key to successful support and giving back,” Mynuk noted. “If we support our community, it will support us back, and that makes a strong and successful society.”

As for physical activity, it contributes to relaxation and concentration when needed and promotes good health. Additionally, team sports teach unity, compromise, responsibility, good sportsmanship and in-person social skills, which will reflect in adulthood when entering the real world.

“I believe our youth want to be more physically active and just more engaged in other interests that do not involve a phone, computer and television,” concluded Mynuk. “They just need guidance and help in getting there. Any program that involves kids communicating without the help of social media will demonstrate an alternative end result -- more choices. Our youth are our future, and should always be considered very much worth the endeavor.”
