Oregon Realtor Patrick Sheehan Discusses Digital Marketing Methodology at APEX

Sheehan focused his presentation on his cutting-edge digital marketing methodology at a conference of 250 of the company’s most elite Realtors and brokerage owners. APEX was held at the Kahala Resort in Honolulu. This event offers a sophisticated learning experience to celebrate and enhance the business of the network’s top tier of affiliated sales associates based on performance.

At APEX, Sheehan discussed how he leverages Facebook with a specific formula to engage buyers and those in their sphere of influence. “When I’m advertising an open house, I always end the post with, ‘tag someone in the comments who needs to see this house.’ So I’m not just advertising to people looking for a house, I’m advertising to their friends,“ said Sheehan. He then cited a recent post that earned 57 comments and 28 post shares. “Each one of those comments provides an opportunity to personally message that person to remind them of the open before it happens,” added Sheehan.    

Sheehan continued to describe his marketing methodology, including how he uses remarketing. “You know when you look at a book on Amazon.com and a week later you see it advertised on CNN.com? That’s remarketing,” notes Sheehan. “I do that with my clients’ homes. Once a buyer has followed the link on Facebook to my splash page, they are identified and I can serve relentless reminder ads until it sells. It’s all part of a comprehensive digital strategy where each component builds on the next.”    

Attendees could be seen furiously taking notes. “We don’t have anyone in the firm doing as much with digital marketing, Facebook advertising or video than Patrick,” said Danielle Bade, owner of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate in Clackamas. “That’s why he’s a top agent -- and why other top agents wanted to hear him at this year’s conference.”
