RE/MAX Realtor Cheryl Herrmann and Norwich Women’s Club Raise Funds for Scholarships

Cheryl Herrmann, broker/owner of RE/MAX Group One REALTORS, will be volunteering at the Norwich Women’s Club Annual Nearly New Sale, which is scheduled for May 5-7 at Tracy Hall, 300 Main Street in Norwich, VT. The consignment clothing and accessories sale, run entirely by volunteers, raises over $30,000 annually in scholarships for local high school students going to college and adults returning to school.

“It’s wonderful that we have been able to help so many students in our community over the years. It’s also a great way to meet new neighbors and catch up with old friends” said Herrmann, who has been a volunteer for the Norwich Women’s Club for fifteen years, the chairperson for the American Heart Association's silent auction for their Go Red event in Hanover NH, and a real estate broker in the Norwich VT/Hanover NH area for over twenty-five years.

Since its inception, the Norwich Women’s Club has promoted cultural, educational, civic and charitable aspects of life in Norwich. The Club’s two major fundraisers are the Spring Gala, a silent auction combined with an evening event held each March celebrating Norwich’s Citizen of the Year, and the semi-annual Nearly New Sales, held in May and October.

Norwich students have received more than $500,000 in awards through the Norwich Women’s Club Scholarship fund since 1964. Scholarships from the Norwich Women’s Club are open to residents of Norwich who are pursuing post-secondary education at an accredited institution.
