RE/MAX Realtor Cindy Willard Collects 150 Pairs of Shoes for Soles4Souls

The success of Willard’s shoe drive was a result of many clients and friends who took the time to donate shoes to this great cause. “Many of my clients, co-workers, and friends were more than happy to make an effort to purge their closets of unwanted shoes and boots for Soles4Souls,” said Willard. “My husband and I are happy to report that we donated 23 pairs for this shoe drive personally. We greatly admire the good work that Soles4Souls does every year to assist people in disaster areas and poor countries around the world.”

The donation of shoes will enable many people to attend schools and find work to support their families. “I will definitely host another shoe drive for Soles4Souls,” added Willard.

Soles4Souls is a nonprofit global social enterprise committed to fighting poverty through the collection and distribution of shoes and clothing. Soles4Souls aim is to eradicate extreme poverty by 2050. Approximately 67 million people around the world live on less than $2.00 per day and simply don’t have access to a good pair of shoes. When someone doesn’t have shoes, it’s not just their feet that suffer. Without shoes, people are left vulnerable to disease, children can’t attend school and many are left without a sense of dignity. To date, Soles4Souls has collected and distributed more than 30 million pairs of shoes to those in need in 127 countries around the world and all 50 states in the U.S.
