RE/MAX Realtor Tuesdi Arrotta Educates Buyers and Sellers on Golden Rules of Real Estate

In life, the Golden Rule states “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” In real estate, however, there are three Golden Rules.  

“Basically, sometimes less is more,” said Tuesdi Arrotta, Broker Associate at RE/MAX Alliance. “Consumers get pounded with so much information online. Much of it is inaccurate, confusing and overwhelming. Delegate to your agent to pull properties for your review. Trust your agent. Remember that an agent does not get paid until you close.”

Arrotta lists the following three Golden Rules of real estate:

No. 1: Consult with a local real estate agent. As a buyer, this is crucial. “Walk into your local real estate office, if you are a serious buyer, sign a Buyer Agency and put your agent to work,” added Arrotta. “Your agent will get the facts for you, and help you get qualified and find the right property, explaining the important details.”

No. 2: Due diligence. “As a seller, do your due diligence and research via your state real estate commission board,” stressed Arrotta. “Ask a friend if they have a real estate agent referral. Go to your local real estate office and interview three agents.”

No. 3: Avoid confusing, inaccurate websites. It is tempting to “pretend” you are getting up-to-date information. “Get ready for a major let down and disappointment,” concluded Arrotta. “Most all sites are smoke and mirrors. Your real estate agent will look up valid MLS properties for you.”

“In this fast-moving market having the right agent to serve you is crucial. By finding the right agent you will have the best chance of finding the right property negotiated at the best price,” concluded Arrotta. “You will have a trusted source looking out for your best interest.”
