Realtor Laurie Steenis Helping Youth, Teachers, Schools Via Right Road Kids and Keller Williams Realty

Over the last several years, the two women’s personal callings to make the world a better place have divinely converged. The remarkable Right Road project is committed to help our nation’s youth, teachers and classrooms in significant ways. Through self-esteem, character and kindness assemblies and classroom programs, the “On the Right Road!” radio show, the “Right Road TAKE 5!” video series, and all of their work and programs, the mission of Right Roads Kids is to inspire and work with children in life-changing ways that build their self-esteem, character, confidence, talents and life-skills.

Simultaneously, Right Road Kids, a life-changing  organization with integrity, heart and incredible compassion, is committed to uplifting teachers, parents and all others who are also dedicated to  uplifting kids on the Right Road. In 2018, with the spearheading support of Steenis and the endorsement of Keller Williams’ co-owner and Vice-Chairman of the Board, Mo Anderson, the Right Road KW Ambassador Project was born. Through the initiative, KW Realtors and Market Centers sponsor Right Road teachers and their students with a $500-$1,000 contribution that, with Right Road’s network of partnerships with U.S. companies that distribute school supplies and resources, multiplies up to ten-fold for each sponsored class.

Beginning in Steenis’ KW Texas Region and the neighboring Oklahoma Region, both areas pledged 50 classroom sponsorships each in 2018. Steenis herself has personally sponsored 10 Dallas/Fort Worth-area teachers and classrooms during the project’s initial year, making a life-changing difference in providing support and supplies needed to help youth succeed on the Right Road in school and in life.

The supplies you provided for my classroom are absolutely fantastic, and I can’t thank you enough for the work you do for teachers and students across the country,” says one of the grateful teachers Steenis has sponsored. “Steenis’ dedication to and enthusiasm for the project has been a significant factor in encouraging other KW Realtors support the project as well. The goal is for KW agents nationwide to become Right Road Kids Ambassadors!”

While Steenis is a successful Dallas-based Realtor, her passion and overall purpose is rooted in actively living out her Christian faith In prayerfully giving of her time, blessings and heart to ministries and charitable causes the Lord leads her to partner with, Laurie takes great joy in serving people and her community locally, nationally, and globally. “I am only one of countless people who strive to live a life of generosity in every area of life. I consider myself called and blessed to be ‘a missionary disguised as a Realtor,’ helping people get from point A to point B, going through some of the most painful and challenging life events, as well as the most happy and joy-filled times. We do life together!” she shared.
