Colorado RE/MAX Realtor Phil Barru Helps Soles4Souls Combat Extreme Poverty

Barru, broker associate at RE/MAX Professionals, is hosting the donation drive for Soles4Souls from May 20 to June 28, 2019. New or gently worn pairs of shoes can be dropped off at RE/MAX Professionals, 143 Union Blvd., Suite 120, Lakewood, CO 80228. “A new pair of shoes can have a big impact on the life of a person in need,” said Barru, who was recently inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame. “Please help us help people in need by donating a pair of unwanted shoes.”

Soles4Souls is a nonprofit global social enterprise committed to fighting poverty through the collection and distribution of shoes and clothing. Soles4Souls aim is to eradicate extreme poverty by 2050. Children every day are prevented from attending school and adults are unable to work as walking becomes unbearable, which perpetuates the cycle of poverty. To date, Soles4Souls has collected and distributed more than 35 million pairs of shoes to those in need in 127 countries around the world and all 50 states in the U.S.
