RE/MAX Realtor Tuesdi Arrotta Helps Children First of the Rockies Realize its Vision

Tuesdi Arrotta, broker associate at RE/MAX Alliance, is hosting a donation drive for Children First of the Rockies, whose vision is that all families nurture children.

“Community involvement is what it is all about. It’s my hope to raise as much money as possible for Children First of the Rockies. I know from firsthand experience how crucial this service is. I am challenging not only the community but my RE/MAX associates and owners to give generously,” said Arrotta, who raised $2,500 for Children First of the Rockies at her own wedding. “These youngsters and extended families and parents need support. The items listed are needed but as we all know cash donations to Children First of the Rockies is what is most needed. I thank you in advance for your consideration and open heart for your generous donation.”  

Unlike most charities, Children First of the Rockies is involved with intervention for children who come from high-conflict families, allowing these children to safely interact with their parents in a safe environment. It provides support to parents with supervision and education. “Bottom line is that children can feel safe in a safe environment and parents can receive parental educational support,” added Arrotta.

Children First of the Rockies was founded to meet the community need of helping families in conflict or crisis rebuild, strengthen, and maintain parent-child relationships in a safe, confidential and observed environment. Services offered include supervised parenting, monitored exchanges, and continuing parental education. Children First of the Rockies is the only nonprofit agency in Boulder County offering SAFE Services, which ensures a neutral, safe, and secure site for children to be children and maintain healthy relationships with the adults in their lives.

Items needed for Arrotta’s Children First of the Rockies donation drive can be dropped off at RE/MAX Alliance, 9737 Wadsworth Pkwy., Westminster, CO, from November 15, 2017, to January 15, 2018. Items needed include office supplies, such as copy paper, Staples gift cards, three-tab manila file folders (letter size) and Smead pressboard classification file folders with top fasteners; program supplies, including unscented disinfectant wipes, unscented disinfectant spray, hand sanitizer, kitchen paper towels, unscented facial tissues, tall kitchen garbage bags and plastic utensils; and activity items, such as art supplies (new), coloring books, children’s card games and children’s board games.

“If donating toys, please refrain from giving toys that make noise, stuffed animals, Playdoh, items that have missing parts or pieces or large or bulky toys,” noted Arrotta. ““We are also looking for two baby changing tables, which can definitely be used. They would go in the bathrooms so they do need to be wall-mounted models”   

Cash donations can also be sent directly to Children First of the Rockies via mail, P.O. Box 2174 Longmont, CO 80502-2174, or dropped off at RE/MAX Alliance.
