Realtor Paula Higman and Team Participate in Pink Park City to Raise Funds for Cancer Research

Park City Realtor Paula Higman, of the Higman Real Estate Team, sponsors a team for the local cancer ski “walk.”

Park City, UT

The event, Pink Park City, takes place on Saturday, March 23, at Canyons Village at Park City Mountain. It will benefit the Huntsman Cancer Institute. The event features live music, activities, a costume contest, photo opportunities and great food.

“Pink Park City is a day dedicated to conquering not just the slopes, but cancer by supporting research at the institute,” said Higman, the daughter of a cancer survivor, who has sponsored and participated in many other Huntsman fundraising events. “All funds raised will go to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.”

In honor of the day, Park City Mountain will be covered in pink with pink parties, pink decorations, and hundreds of pink skiers all rallying together for a day of fun. Higman’s team consists of co-workers and friends who are also dedicated to the cause. Their goal is to raise $5,000. In addition to any contribution people can make, they can reach out to friends and family to ask for donations of any size, and are invited to come ski and spend the day with Higman and her team.

“This type of event touches my heart personally and I strongly believe in the need of investing in research to find a cure to this horrible disease,” concluded Higman. “I feel so grateful that I can give back to this community and support my mother, a survivor of cancer. My prayers go out to all the cancer fighters struggling in their daily lives to overcome this horrific disease.”

The Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah is a nationally recognized research center and treatment hospital in Salt Lake City. It serves patients with all types of cancer who come from throughout the Mountain West, including Utah and parts of Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Wyoming.
