The McClain Group of Madison & Company Properties Builds Brighter Futures for Sick Kids

The McClain Group of Madison & Company Properties, Larina McClain and Kelly VanHee, are celebrating one year since instituting an Amazon Kindle Fire giveaway. After every home sold by The McClain Group, whose motto is “Future Homes, Brighter Futures,” Larina and Kelly gift a Kindle Fire to a child with a life-altering disease or illness.

“This allows kids to access and read endless books, download educational applications, and communicate with their families no matter where they are,” noted Kelly.

The inspiration for the campaign was Larina’s nephew, William, who suffers from Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a chronic, painful, genetic skin disorder with no known cure. Every year, the McClain Group hosts a charity event to raise money for this cause in his honor.

This creative idea has now become an important part of The McClain Group’s business model. With over 50 Kindles already delivered, the team has made a substantial difference. “We will definitely keep this up and this year plan to play an even larger part by helping to deliver these backpacks (Bags of Fun) at the hospital as volunteers to the charity,” noted Larina. Tammy Krause, the founder of Bags of Fun, stated, “We can’t tell you how much we appreciate your generous donation that will bring so many smiles to kids.”
