The NALA and TGGF Remember Those Who Served at Pearl Harbor

The NALA  and The Greatest Generations Foundation commemorate the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor with World War II veterans.

VENTURA, CA

In honor of Pearl Harbor Day on December 7, 2016, the NALA, a boutique marketing agency, and its charity partner The Greatest Generations Foundation (TGGF), which is dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of veterans by returning them to their former battlegrounds, cemeteries and memorials, commemorated the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor together. To show his support of TGGF, the NALA’s CEO Jeffrey Rosenthal traveled to Pearl Harbor with thirty veterans, the average age of which was 96, who were there on December 7, 1941, “a date which will live in infamy.”

Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor and six other military bases on the Hawaiian island of Oahu precipitated America’s entry into World War II. Pearl Harbor endures as a symbol of American resilience and resolve, and the annual commemoration of the attack on Pearl Harbor fosters reflection, remembrance and understanding.

“The 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor was an opportunity to honor the sacrifice and dedication of our ‘Greatest Generation,’ both civilian and military,” said Rosenthal. “Many of these men have not been back since the war. It is with great pride that I tell you that the NALA has been supporting TGGF for over ten years, from the very beginning, and to date we have brought back 3,600 veterans to Europe and Asia.”

A key focus of the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor was to bridge the gap between the generations to better understand and learn directly from those that endured December 7, 1941. In order to honor the last living survivors of Pearl Harbor, through the preservation and perpetuation of their legacies, TGGF teamed up with over twenty schools throughout Oahu to serve as a lasting legacy to the returning survivors and veterans by teaching students of up and coming generations the values of duty, honor and sacrifice that were epitomized by these heroes so long ago.
