Miramar Beach is an extension of Destin, which residents call the “world’s luckiest fishing village.” It was first established by New England fisherman Leonard Destin in the 1840s as a small fishing village. Today, it is an ultimate vacation destination with sugar-white sandy beaches and emerald-green waters that give the 100-mile stretch from Pensacola to Panama City Beach its unofficial name.
